DAY 1: Arrival Delhi
Welcome by India World Travel representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel
DAY 02: Delhi - Mandawa (6 H/270 Km)
After breakfast drive to Mandawa. Mandawa is a small principality in the Region of Shekhawati which is famous for its fresco painted havelis, castles, forts, wells and temples. Overnight at the Hotel (Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 03: Mandawa – Bikaner (3H ½/180 Km)
After breakfast a drive to Bikaner, one of the oldest cities in Rajasthan. It was founded by Rao Bikaji in 1488. The old city is surrounded by high crenellated walls. The History of Bikaner is full of legends and luxuries. At Bikaner visit the red sandstone fort of Junagarh, Red Palace (Lalgarh Palace), Devi Kund (Royal Cenotaphs), camel breeding farm, beautiful Jain temples, Gajner Wild Life sanctuary and World Famous Karni Mata Temple (Rats Temple). DAY 04: Bikaner - Jaisalmer (6 H/325 Km)
After breakfast a drive to Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer is a place that only should exist in one’s imagination. This desert city well known as “The Golden City” was founded by Rao Jaisala in 1156. It takes the name of The Golden city from the yellow sandstone used in the construction of forts, palaces, houses and from its sand dunes. DAY 05 : Jaisalmer
You could visit the massive hill fortress of Sonar Kila (The Golden Fort), Nathmal Ji Ki Haveli, Salim Singh Ki Haveli, Patwon ki Haveli, Gadi Sagar Lake, Jain temples, Ramdera Temple, Ludharva (the old Capital of Jaisalmer), Kuldehra (an abandoned city), Badabagh (the Royal cremation ground). DAY 6: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur Travel (5 H 280Km )
Jodhpur Travel: After breakfast a drive to Jodhpur. Jodhpur lies in the Region of Marwar “The Land of Deaths”. It is also known as the Sun City and Blue City. It was founded by Rao Jodha, a chief Rathore Rajput clan in 1459. At Jodhpur visit the hilltop fortress of Mehrangarh which has panoramic views of the city of Jodhpur, Jaswant thada memorial, Umaid bhavan Museum and Palace, Mandore, the old capital of Jodhpur, Jain and Hindu Temples. At Osiyan and Bishnoi Villages you can see the way in which the village people have lived in harmony with nature and shop at the busy Clocktower Markets. Day 07: Jodhpur - Ranakpur (3 H /130 Km)
After breakfast a drive to Ranakpur. Ranakpur has one of the biggest and beautiful Jain temples in India. It is tucked away in a remote and a quiet valley of the Aravali Mountains. Day 08: Ranakpur - Udaipur (2 H 90Km)
After breakfast a drive to Udaipur. Udaipur “The Venice of East”, “The City of Lakes” is the most romantic city in India. It was founded by Maharana Udai Singh 2nd in 1568. DAY 09: Udaipur
Take an excursion to visit the City Palace, Lake Pichola, Jagniwas Island (now the Lake Palace Hotel), Jagdish Temple (Dedicated to Lord Vishnu). , Monsoon Palace (Sajjan Garh formerly the Palace for the royal family during the Monsoon). DAY 10 : Udaipur - Chittorgarh (2½H 120 Km
After breakfast a drive to Chittorgarh, the land of bravery, chivalry and sacrifice. This is the oldest city of Rajasthan. The massive hill-top fortress is one of the most massive and most historically significant places in Rajasthan. It spreads over a 21 km area and has many beautiful palaces and memorials such as the Kumbha Palace, Padmini Palace and Jain temples. Overnight at your Hotel (Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 11: Chittorghar - Pushkar (4 H 200 Km)
After breakfast a drive to Pushkar. Pushkar derives its name from Hindu mythology. Pushkar means The Hand of Brahma, the creator of the Universe. It is a very important place of pilgrimage for Hindus. People come here to bathe in the holy lake which purifies the soul and washes out the sins. Afterwards the people visit the unique and beautiful temple of Brahma, the only one in the world, and other temples to get the blessings of God. Pushkar is world famous for its Pushkar fair which takes place in the Hindu lunar month of Kartika (normally in November). DAY 12: Pushkar - Jaipur (4 H 150 kms)
After breakfast take a walking tour of the painted 'havelis' of some of the leading business families of the country. The Chowkhani Haveli, Gulab Rai Ladia Haveli, Lakshminarayan Ladia Haveli, Mohahanlal Saraf Haveli and Bhagchandika Haveli is of special interest. Later on a drive to Jaipur - the fabled "pink city" of the desert named after Jai Singh, the former Maharaja of Jaipur. Overnight at your Hotel (Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 13: Jaipur
Take an excursion to the Amber Fort on the outskirts of Jaipur. Enjoy a royal elephant ride as you climb up to the fort. The Amber Fort is the classical, romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Later on, go on a sightseeing tour of Jaipur covering: The City Palace, Jantar Mantar and the Hawa Mahal. Visit a rug factory and see the ladies at their intricate work, or a gem factory and see the gem cutting and polishing process. Overnight at your Hotel (Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 14: Jaipur - Agra (5 H /232kms)
After breakfast a drive to Agra. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the City constructed by Akbar the Great in the 15th century but later abandoned because of scarcity of water. It has many beautiful palaces, courtyards and the Mosque of Shaikh Salim Chisti, Buland Darwaza (which is 179 meters high and the gateway to the city). Agra, the Mughal capital in the 15th and 16th century, is famous for The Taj Mahal, the most extravagant monument ever built for love. Agra has many other beautiful monuments to visit such as the massive Red Fort built in red sandstone and marble, the tomb of Itmat-ud-daula, Akbar’s Mausoleum at Sikandra, Dayal Bagh etc. Overnight at the Hotel (Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 15: Agra - Delhi ( 5 H 250 Km )
After breakfast a visit to the magnificent Taj Mahal - one of the seven wonders of the world and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife.
