Detailed Itinerary:

DAY 1: Arrival Delhi

Welcomed by India World Travel representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel
DAY 02: Delhi - Haridwar by 4x4 (4WD)

After breakfast drive to Haridwar by 4x4 , Haridwar is the gateway to the four pilgrimages of Uttaranchal. It's also your starting point on the journey to the sacred sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna Rivers. Haridwar's scenic beauty is a blend of height and plains, the air echoes the sounds of chanting mantras. The city abounds in temples of Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Haridwar has a lot of spiritual retreats or Ashrams carrying on the lineage of providing the way to body soul perfection via various yoga and meditative techniques. DAY 03: Haridwar - Rishkesh - Haridwar by 4x4 (4WD)

After breakfast process to visite Haridwar have a holy bath in Ganges, visit temples and other pilgrimage places and after lunch proceed towards Rishikesh ,Rishikesh visit Laxman Jhula- a hanging bridge on the river Ganga is one of the most famous spot in Rishikesh. According to Indian mythology, Lakshman, the younger brother of Lord Rama crossed the Ganga with the help of hanging bridge made of Jute. The bridge offers a scenic view of the river Ganga as it tumbles down to Haridwar. Also visit Bharat Mandir - the oldest temple in Rishikesh, near the Triveni Ghat. This temple is dedicated to Bharat, the younger brother of Lord Ram. Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)

DAY 04: Haridwar - Devprayag - Rishikesh by 4x4 (4WD)

After breakfast drive to Devprayag by 4x4, Devprayag is a city in the state of Uttaranchal in northern India. It is significant because it is the point where the Bhagirathi and the Alaknanda join to form the Ganga.  It is one of the five sacred confluences in the hills and is a great place of pilgrimage for devout Hindus. Devaprayag stands at an elevation of 2265 ft. on the side of a hill which rises above it 800 ft. On a terrace in the upper part of the village is the temple of  Raghunath, built of huge uncommented stones back to Rishkesh .Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)

DAY 05 : Rishikesh - Uttarkashi by 4x4 (4WD)

After breakfast drive to Uttarkashi by 4x4 (1150 mt), Arrive Uttarkashi and transfer to Hotel. Uttarkashi is also the training centre for many mountaineering and trekking expedition in Gangotri area. Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)

DAY 6: Uttarkashi - Gangotri by 4x4 (4WD)
After breakfast drive to Gangotri (3050 mt) There is a beautiful Gorge at Bhairav Ghati over which there is a steel gurder bridge. Gangotri is the place where the Goddess Ganga descended on Earth from Heaven. In the evening visit the Gangotri temple of Goddess Ganga where thousands of devotees throng to pay homage to her. . Witness the special Ganga Arti in the temple. Gangotri (3000m). Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
Day 07: Gangotri - Bhojbasa - Gaumukh (Trekking)

After breakfast trek to Bhojbasa. The entire trek is along the roaring Bhagirathi River. Reach the campsite of Bhojbasa(3800m), home of birch (now only a few left in the much denuded area) and setup camp. Evening walk to one of the high point’s closeby is recommended for better acclimatization. Enjoy the beautiful sunset on the Bhagirathi group of peaks. Night in the camps  

Day 08: Gangotri - Bhjbasa - Gaumukh (trekking)

After breakfast leave for an easy walk (13 Km Trek). The wide trail initially passes through dense deodar forests before emerging into the wide unfrosted valley. This is the abode of pines. Night in the camp beside the Bhagirathi River

DAY 09: Bhojbasa - Gaumukh - Tapovan (trekking)

Morning after breakfast start first 3 kms trek to Gaumukh (The source of Ganges) and then traverse the Gangotri Galcier to reach Tapovan by afternoon. Night in the camps 

DAY 10: Tapovan - Bhojbasa. (Trekking)

After breakfast Trek back to Bhojbasa and Night in the camps 

DAY 11: Bhojbasa - Gangotri - Harsil

Trek back to Gangotri and then drive back to Harsil by 4x4 in nice surroundings in Bhagirathi valley and relax after a great trek.

DAY 12: Harsil - Rishikesh - Shimla

Drive back to Rishikesh. Lunch at Uttarkashi or Chamba. Arrive in Rishikesh After breakfast drive  to Shimla , Shimla the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)

DAY 13: Shimla

After breakfast  you will visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hour’s drive from Shimla. Later this afternoon take a walking tour of Shimla, visit the Jakoo hills that offer a panoramic view of the town visit the Vice Regal Lodge and walk down the Mall Road Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)

DAY 14: Shimla - Kalka - Chandigarh

In the morning after breakfast depart for kalka and Chandigarh - Kalka-Shimla rail route, which has completed 100 years offers the charm of old-world travel amidst lofty pines and lush green, misty mountains. Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)

DAY 15: Chandigarh - Delhi

After breakfast drive to Delhi, arrive Delhi and visit monuments of Delhi
Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal for airport transfer)

DAY 16: Delhi – Departure as per Flight schedule or for onward Destination.
