DAY 1: Arrival Delhi
Welcomed by India World Travel representative at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight at hotel
DAY 02: Delhi - Amritsar
After breakfast, transfer to the railway station to board the Shatabdi express train to Amritsar. On arrival you are transferred to the Hotel. The city of Amritsar is the capital of Punjab and one of the holy cities of the Sikhs. Overnight at your hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 03: Amritsar
The sightseeing of Amritsar comprises a visit to the Golden temple, one of the holiest of Sikh shrines and the complex has important edifices such as the Akal Takht and the Harmandir Sahib and the holy pond surrounding it. Overnight at your hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 04: Amritsar - Dharamshala (5 hrs /210 km)
After breakfast, a drive to Dharamshala which is your introduction to Himachal Pradesh, a beautiful hilly and mountainous state. On arrival you are transferred to the Surya Resort for overnight stay. (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 05 : Dharamshala
The highlight of the visit to Dharamshala is the trip to Mcleodganj, the seat of his Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government in exile. The monastery here called the Namgyal monastery houses several monks, novices and is dominated by the Geluckpa sect (Yellow hat). Though it may be not always possible to have an audience with his Holiness it is quite likely that during your stay you could have a glimpse of this Nobel peace laureate that is revered like the living Buddha among his followers worldwide. DAY 6: Dharamshala /Manali (8 hrs /265 km)
After breakfast begin the long drive to Manali. Manali is today transformed from a sleepy village full of fruit orchards to a touristy hill resort town. It is well known starting point for treks, mountaineering expeditions, jeep safaris, rafting, skiing, paragliding and also becoming popular with a host of Indian tourists during the summer months getting away from the hot plains. The highlights of the region are the Hadimba temple, Jagatsukh temple, Vashisht hot springs, NaggarCastle and Roerich art Gallery. Overnight at your hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
Day 07: Manali
Spend the day at leisure exploring the nearby valleys and the local colorful markets. Overnight at your hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
Day 08: Manali / Keylong (6 hrs / 120km)
After an early breakfast begin the spectacular drive to Leh over the Rohtang pass (13280 feet) the first of the many high passes on this route. The route passes through the wonderful slopes of Solang Nallah and Marhi. Overnight at your hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 09: Keylong / Sarchu (7 hrs/ 160 km)
Continue the drive to Sarchu by 4x4. On this day you could get the glimpse of the magnificent Mulkhila range of mountains on the right and climbing up from Darcha and Patseo one begins to slowly see the green slopes giving way to stark Tibetan landscape. This is the region bordering the Rupshu region of Tibet and the nomadic people and their sheep. Before arriving at the grassland of Sarchu one has to traverse the second high pass called the Baralacha la (15500 feet). Overnight tented camp at Sarchu. (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 10 : Sarchu/ Leh (10 hrs /180 km)
Early morning drive to Leh gives you a feeling of being in a high Tibetan plateau. One climbs a series of Gata loops on the way up from Sarchu and then two passes have to be crossed. The first one is Lachalung la (16400 feet). After this one comes into a huge flat plateau like landscape called Pang. It is here that one can divert to the right and visit the huge high altitude lakes of Tso Khar and Tso Moriri. This region also has rare and elusive wildlife like the Tibetan wild ass, wolves, the snow leopard, the black necked crane and Tibetan snowcock. However we continue over the Tanglang la (17560 feet), the second highest motorable pass in the world to finally enter the main Ladakh valley drained by the Indus river which joins you further down the valley. DAY 11: Leh
The important monasteries to visit in and around Leh are the Shey, Thikse, Hemis, Spituk, Samkhar, as well as the Shanti Stupa, Stok Palace and main bazaar. The Leh Palace dominating the town was the former home of the Namgyal dynasty. The monastic festivals are very popular and Hemis, Phyang and Lamayuru festivals in summer are visited by a lot of tourists who throng to see the Cham dances. Ladakh is also well known for treks, hikes, expeditions rafting and kayaking (use of a kayak, a human-powered boat, for moving across water). If you follow the Indus downstream the monasteries to see are Phyang, Likir, Alchi, Ridzong. Lamayuru with its spectacular moonscape is the furthest monastery on this route. A visit to these monasteries is facilitated by the overnight stay in a picturesque village called Saspol near Alchi. Overnight at your hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 12: Leh

DAY 13: Leh - Delhi
Flight from Leh to Delhi. After arrival at the domestic airport, transfer to the Hotel. After Lunch proceed to the tour of Old Delhi & New Delhi. Delhi the capital of Indian republic and has the strategic position in the administration since, the epic of Mahabharata. It was sacked and looted several times by foreign invaders but it stands still in all the upheavals and trembles. It is the third largest City of India. At Delhi, a visit to Jama Masjid (India’s biggest mosque), Red fort (built in red sandstone and a blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture), India Gate, Parliament house & President’s House, Qutab Minar, Bahai Temple (lotus temple), Humayun’s tomb etc. Overnight at the Hotel (4x4 Vehicle at your disposal)
DAY 14: Delhi – Departure as per Flight schedule or for onward Destination.
